The Knights’ Island
Our starting place and, actually, the first destination was what is called “the Knights’ Islet” – Riddarholmen. We have covered the most remarkable buildings and places here which includes the old Parliament and the National Archive buildings and enjoyed exciting Swedish architecture. Before having left the islet we stopped by in the Western part of Riddarholmen to make some pics of the breathtaking views.
The Royal Residence
You could appreciate the brilliance of the Stockholm Palace in both day and night. According to the words of both tourists and local people the Palace is outstanding in any time of the day and in absolutely weather. Undoubtedly, the Royal residence is a very good place to visit during a Segway Stockholm tour.
The Royal Opera building has a long and interesting history starting in the year 1872. Here is another superb example of Swedish architecture. Experienced tourists assume that Swedish architecture looks totally unique and different from the European. It means that a visit to the Royal Opera will help you increase your cultural background.
Stockholm architecture is splendid even when it comes to military buildings. Think we are wrong? There is nothing better than to see it yourself! A lot of tourists often observe this island from far distance, however it is worth going down to it. You will be surrounded with many of amazing pieces of the local architecture.
The Royal Game Park
Are you curious more about how the Royal family entertained itself? Come to the Royal Game Park and find out what the Swedish Royal family liked to do! We would like to say, that the amusement park Grona Lund is not the one and only cool place there, keep in mind all those galleries and museums and other historical attractions. There is also a very popular open-air museum there – it is called Skansen!
